BIOMATT is a classical organic layer of mulch composed of 100% Hessian vegetal fibres. Hessian is known as one of the most resistant fibres to degradation.

Fibres of the best quality are linked together using a specific needling of the product.

Its very natural colour guarantees an easy integration into the landscape. It can be from 6 to 8 mm thick.

BIOMATT is available in 800, 1000 or 1200 g/m2 depending on the time of protection desired.

BIOMATT is available in 30m long by 1 or 2m wide rolls. However, other widths can be produced on request.

The excellent permeability of BIOMATT preserves gas exchanges in the soil layers. It reduces heaving (plant roots forced upwards out of soil) and prevents weed growth. BIOMATT conserves moisture in the soil and reduces the need for frequent waterings. As an “insulating layer”, BIOMATT protects the young plant roots against early or late frosts.

In order to guarantee a perfect isolation of the mulch, BIOMATT can be used with Thermodisc discs. They are felt discs of 26 or 30 cm in diameter, and are available in 350 or 700g/m2.
