This column deals with the setting up of wood granules:
- subjected to a special treatment (ORGACOLOR for specific surrounds)
- Compressed thanks to an hydraulic binder (CEM cement or Lime)
- In a concrete mould which can be coloured (with the supplied monoxide in the Kit)
To make draining system for tree surrounds which perfectly fit into the landscape.
USES:
- On plants (to use the draining properties of the product)
- Tree surrounds on pavements, squares, roundabouts, school yards...etc.
UTILIZATIONS
TO GUARANTEE A BETTER PLANT GROWTH
- Reduces compaction around the trunks (for a better breath of the vegetal)
- Allows water to get into the soil towards the plant roots. |

TO STABILIZE the plantation surface while respecting staking and props
- the wood granules compression avoids them to be thrown outside the surround
- The surface, at the same level as the ground, is easy to clean (with all sorts of machines)
- The setting up (which only needs to be 7cm thick) allows light vehicles traffic.
TO MAKE SURROUNDS CLEANER
- Papers, cigarette ends, and any other sort of rubbish are retained out of the surround.
- The weeds you usually find on different layers do not find any good conditions to grow
- The cleaning processes are made easier and are higly recommended.

TO BE ECONOMICAL AND EASY TO SET UP
- This draining system brings an efficient solution to this context, for less than 40€ before tax/m2 (products only, without setting up). (ORGACOLOR specific granules for surrounds + colourings + no supplied concrete).
- The setting up does not require any other skill than the one needed to set up concrete. The weather conditions needed are the same as concrete setting up conditions.
THE VARIOUS STAGES OF THE SETTING UP
1. Clear away the surround for 7 or 8 cm thick around the surface.
2. Prepare the mixture (respecting the enclosed instructions). For huge building sites, the mixture can be made with a cement mixer.
3. Set up the mixture.
4. With tools such as a rake, level out the surface and put 0,5cm more on the area around.
5. Slightly compact the soil with the back of the rake insisting on the surroundings.
6. Level the surface with a FLOAT??? (taloche)

7. With the garden trowel, dig a hole of 3 to 4 cm around the tree. It will permit the tree to grow more easily during the 3 or 4 first years, depending the type of the vegetal. Hereafter, a cutting with a jigsaw will help the tree to grow.
8. Build an area of protection for the passers-by for at least 24 hours.
9. When the weather is warm and the wind is dry, cover the placing with a layer of mulch for instance. It will prevent the surface from dehydratation. |
COMMERCIAL PRESENTATION OF THE PRODUCT
Available in Kit for 20m2 with:
- Forty 50 litres bags of ORGACOLOR granules, specific for tree surrounds.
- Ten bags of 1kg of colourings (Brown, Brick red, Ocher, Yellow, Green).
- The instructions for the setting up.
NB: the cement will be bought on the spot by the customer.
MIXTURE INSTRUCTIONS
- Two 50 litres bags of ORGACOLOR granules, specific for tree surrounds
- One 35kg bag of cement (grey or white)
- 17 to 18 litres of water (according to the weather conditions). The mixture must shine but must not be too liquid otherwise the surface wil become non-permeable.
