Orgamulch stems from an identified and controlled raw material (wood from the Vosges forest. It is delivered in 1 or 2m by 100 to 200m trunks). The specifications notify that Orgamulch artefacts must not contain more than 3% of bark chips. Hence the necessity of working on pre-barked trunks. |

These logs are subjected to a specific mechanical treatment which gives the product such a peculiar “particled” aspect. Indeed, other products may be made of loose, ripped up materials that make the fibres more absorbent with aggressive and dangerous bumps. This mechanical work provides an heterogeneous granular size with 0 to 20mm particles. The thin part (0 to 6mm) is removed by sifting. |
